Consumers find gray charges may be tacked onto statements

We’ve heard plenty about identity theft and the scam artists who buy stuff using your credit card.

But how many times does a monthly charge of $10 to $40 a month end up hitting credit cards or debit card statements without consumers even realizing it.  More times that you can imagine.

  1. That is scary, but I have personally been through it. Fortunately, the person was not so smart. They charge 5 to 6 times amounting up to 200+ dollars. With this erratic behavior, most of the bigger charge did not go through, while i had to dispute a couple of small charge to get my money back. Such a hassle and tons of inconvenient.
